The fun theory

It was more than one year ago, when I filled Facebook’s login form just because I had a virtual dog to feed. Since then something has changed.

I joined Twitter and started following interesting people. As a consequence, my expectations of Facebook have been gradually rising for the last couple of months. Since Twitter isn’t a social network anymore, but an information network, every time I check my friends’ statuses, I am looking for something useful. I usually end up reading hundreds of blog posts and online articles, adding more feeds into google reader, following more people…

Social media and Internet are a powerful weapon and almost everybody has already figured that out. The thing is that it isn’t really that easy to catch consumers’ attention. Time is precious and expectations are high, just like mine.

Well, just let it be viral, let it be fun, ’cause fun is the easiest way to change people’s behaviour for the better. And let’s make Change happen.

Pay!

It wasn’t so long ago, when Murdoch decided to charge online readers. I though, I am fine with that. In fact, I usually don’t rely on his media pool, just because I subscribe to alternative sources. My twitter buddies are quite informative as well.

Today one of them shared a link to this article: AP, News Corp bosses say pay up. For what, for indexing your content?!

Hey, guys, do you really wanna deny what’s already happening? Internet is about information and information should be free. It will be. If you fail to adapt, you’ll just fail. Power isn’t always on your side.

Common sense

We are in the middle of a challenge – to launch an existing or an entirely new product on a new market. Classy assignment.

I met a friend at the store today. We talked a bit about that. What is easier – to pick a product under a brand loaded with value, or to rely on one that nobody really needs and to hope that a low price will do the thing?

Ha…
